Carson set for Black Cats return

Carson has made 20 appearances for Chesterfield, who have been given advance notice of the recall in order to find an alternative.

Tommy Lee will now be given the opportunity to try and make the number one jersey his own.

Spireites manager Lee Richardson said: "We are disappointed that Trevor will be going back in January but we appreciate his time with us.

"Tommy Lee now has the chance to establish himself in the team."

Chesterfield, I can imagine them being dissapointed, but I hope Carson will get a 1st team opportunity because he proved himself in Chesterfield and deserves a 1st team spot, but lets hope Tommy Lee can make up Carson's absence
